Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer (Flood Modelling) to lead our flood modelling initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and implementing flood risk assessment strategies and will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and sustainability of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage flood modelling projects from conception to completion.
- Develop and apply advanced flood modelling techniques and methodologies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate flood modelling into broader engineering projects.
- Analyze data and generate reports to inform stakeholders and guide decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in flood risk management.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for team members and stakeholders on flood modelling practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or related field.
- 8-16 years of experience in flood modelling and hydrological studies.
- Proficiency in flood modelling software such as HEC-RAS, MIKE FLOOD, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and hydrologic principles and processes.
- Experience with GIS applications and data visualization tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
