Role Overview
We are seeking a highly accomplished Principal Engineer – HVAC / Fire Protection / Electrical / Structural Design to join our NextGen Design Studio. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, global project exposure, and strong leadership capabilities in delivering multidisciplinary engineering designs across complex projects.
This role will lead digitally enabled engineering solutions, drive multidisciplinary coordination, mentor engineering teams, and contribute strategically to Pinnacle's leadership in next-generation engineering delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of complex HVAC/Fire Protection/Electrical/Structural engineering systems across diverse building typologies and international markets, particularly UK and Middle East projects.
- Develop integrated engineering solutions aligned with project performance, safety, sustainability, and operational requirements.
- Champion digital-first and BIM-driven design methodologies aligned with Pinnacle's NextGen and P³ approach.
- Review engineering calculations, system layouts, specifications, BIM models, and technical deliverables to ensure compliance with international standards and project requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and design teams, fostering innovation and engineering excellence.
- Engage with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders as a technical expert representing Pinnacle's engineering capabilities.
- Drive quality assurance, sustainability initiatives, and continuous process improvements across design delivery.
- Support adoption of emerging technologies, AI-enabled workflows, computational design, and advanced digital engineering practices.
- Collaborate with internal leadership teams to strengthen engineering standards, project delivery frameworks, and technical capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree (preferred) or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC/Fire), Electrical Engineering (Electrical), Structural Engineering (Structural Design), Fire Protection Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience in HVAC, Fire Protection, Electrical, or Structural design and delivery.
- Strong experience in complex building projects including commercial, healthcare, data centers, high-rise, hospitality, mixed-use, and industrial developments.
- Proven exposure to international projects across UK, Middle East, or other global markets.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards including ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, IEC, IBC, Eurocodes, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and other relevant standards.
- Professional certifications/memberships such as PE, CEng, LEED, NFPA, CIBSE, ISHRAE, IStructE, IEI, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Hands-on expertise in BIM platforms and digital engineering tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, ETABS, STAAD Pro, HAP, and related design software.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and team mentoring capabilities.
