Principal Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the research, development, and implementation of advanced methodologies and tools for accurate system-level power estimation (pre-silicon and post-silicon).
• Identify and drive power optimization strategies across hardware and software components.
• Define, design, and optimize algorithms for performance, power efficiency, and functionality, including power management and resource allocation.
• Develop system-level models (performance, power, functional) to enable early design-space exploration and architectural validation.
• Drive system architecture definition aligned with performance, power, and cost objectives.
• Implement innovative system engineering methodologies, tools, and best practices to improve development lifecycle efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and validation domains.
• Stay updated with industry trends and research in system engineering, algorithms, and power management, applying advanced techniques to solve complex challenges.
• Collaborate with product teams, research groups, and external partners to integrate solutions and drive adoption.
• Influence long-term technology roadmaps and strategic initiatives with expert insights.

Experience Required:

• 8 - 14 years of experience in system-level design, modeling, and power estimation.
• Strong hands-on experience with SystemC for system-level modeling and simulation.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and MATLAB for algorithm development and modeling.
• Experience in system architecture design and performance/power trade-off analysis.
• Exposure to pre-silicon and post-silicon validation methodologies.
• Experience in developing power estimation and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with modeling tools such as Simulink and scripting using Python.
• Exposure to embedded systems, semiconductor design, or high-performance computing environments.
• Knowledge of hardware description languages (Verilog/VHDL) and digital design flows is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Education: B.Tech / B.Tech + M.Tech (Dual)
