About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Economist (Freelancer) to support high-level AI evaluation initiatives focused on advanced economic reasoning, macroeconomic analysis, and strategic decision-making. In this role, you will assess complex AI-generated economic models, forecasts, and policy analyses.

Your expertise will directly influence how AI systems reason about global economies, markets, and long-term economic outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and annotate AI-generated outputs related to macroeconomics, microeconomics, and applied economic research.
• Review AI reasoning involving economic models, assumptions, and forecasting logic.
• Assess robustness, validity, and real-world relevance of AI-generated economic conclusions.
• Identify conceptual gaps, incorrect assumptions, or flawed causal reasoning.
• Provide expert-level feedback to improve AI model depth and economic rigor.

Requirements

• Advanced degree or extensive experience in economics or a closely related field.
• Strong grounding in economic theory, econometrics, and applied economic analysis.
• Experience evaluating complex economic arguments and models.
• Ability to assess both quantitative and qualitative economic reasoning.
• Interest in shaping next-generation AI economic intelligence.

NOTE

Pay will vary by project and typically is up to 1500 per hour. If you work an average of 3 hours every day, you could earn up to 90,000 per month once you clear our screening process.
