Job Description:
We're not looking for a manager. We're looking for someone who sees a complex GCP/GKE production environment and thinks let me get in there. You'll own our entire infra stack - not oversee it, not delegate it - own it. If it breaks at 2am, you'll probably already know why before anyone pages you.
This is a brownfield environment with real complexity: GKE clusters, a self-managed FHIR backend, API gateway/IAM abstractions, Pub/Sub event pipelines, and a growing portfolio of SaaS integrations. Your job is to harden it, automate everything you touch, and build the kind of platform that scales globally without you having to babysit it.
Responsibilities:
- You'll inherit a sophisticated architecture and make it yours - auditing what exists, eliminating toil through GitOps and Terraform, and raising the bar on reliability, security, and cost without touching live systems recklessly. You'll build AI into your workflows wherever it gives you leverage. You'll be the person who closes a security gap and writes the Terraform that prevents it from ever happening again.
- Compliance isn't a checkbox here - our platform handles PHI/PII under HIPAA, GDPR, and India's DPDP framework, and you'll be the one who keeps us honest on SOC2 and ISO27001.
- You have 8 -12 years in Infra/DevOps and your GitHub history tells your story - you write code, not tickets. You've operated production GKE at scale, you think in zero-trust, and you've untangled gnarly multi-vendor SaaS environments before. Experience in HealthTech, FinTech, or any regulated industry handling sensitive data is a strong plus. FHIR knowledge is great; intellectual curiosity to learn it fast is good enough.
- Mumbai-based. You're the kind of person who'd rather automate a problem permanently out of existence than document a workaround and move on.
Qualifications:
- 8 - 12 years in Infrastructure/DevOps with a strong, demonstrable hands-on coding track record
- Deep GCP expertise GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage
- Production-grade Terraform and Helm; GitOps as a first principle, not an afterthought
- Expert-level API Gateway design and complex IAM/OIDC implementations, with a zero-trust mindset
- Experience operating in regulated environments (HealthTech, FinTech, or similar) with frameworks like SOC2 Type II, ISO27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and India's DPDP
- Proven ability to audit and harden existing production systems identifying risk, reducing toil, improving resilience without disrupting live operations
- Comfort with event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub) and serving data to web and mobile clients via GraphQL
- Familiarity with FHIR or willingness to get up to speed quickly on healthcare data standards
- Experience integrating AI tooling into DevOps workflows is a strong plus
