The Senior Onshore Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for preparing FEED and detailed engineering drawings for onshore oil & gas flowlines, trunk lines, and pipelines. The role involves reviewing survey data, developing pipeline layouts, alignment sheets, and managing design deliverables in compliance with company and client standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare FEED and detailed engineering drawings for onshore pipelines, including flowlines and trunk lines.
- Read, review, and apply Site Topographical Survey drawings and data.
- Develop overall route maps, layouts, plot plans, pipeline alignment sheets, and Land Use Permissions (LUP).
- Design scraper station approach drawings, pipeline crossing drawings, and HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) drawings.
- Develop hot tap layouts, sectionalizing valve station layouts, tie-in sections, and related details.
- Prepare typical crossing drawings for highways, asphalt roads, railways, water/wadis, third-party pipelines, cables, and overhead lines.
- Develop detailed drawings for crossings using trenchless technologies.
- Prepare and review pipeline material take-offs.
- Review pipeline drawings, plot plans, alignment sheets, piping layouts, and vendor drawings.
- Ensure compliance with pipeline detail engineering standards, including spacing requirements, accessibility, operation, maintenance, crossings, and right of way (ROW).
- Understand and apply international standards and client specifications.
- Verify that all designs meet required standards and project objectives.
- Conduct pipeline route selection studies and area classification studies.
- Develop isometrics, general arrangement drawings, key plans, and plot plans.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Pipeline Engineering (or related field).
- 1420 years of experience in feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering, FEED, detailed design, and EPC/EPCM projects.
- Proficient in engineering deliverables preparation according to company technical competency standards.
- Software proficiency: MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, QGIS, and Google Earth.
