Job Description
Job Characteristics: Designs and develops IT architecture (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. Ensure that standard architecture decisions are implemented consistently across business and IT in order to support the business and IT strategy. This includes researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering IT architecture solutions that are appropriate for the business and IT strategies in one or more domains. Takes responsibility for technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently; receives minimal guidance. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. May lead functional teams or projects. Specializations within this family include (but are not limited to): Enterprise, Infrastructure, Mobile, Web, Data, Applications.
Education/Work Experience: Degree in technical area and significant work experience including project management experience and industry expertise.
Independence Level/Reports to: Recognized both within and outside the organization as thought leader in area of expertise. Responsibilities typically include: Recommending operational strategies and plans with direct impact on results. Influencing business decisions made by leadership. Problems are complex and multi-dimensional. Requires communication with executive leadership on matters of strategic importance.
