Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant SAP_Master Data Lead

The SAP Master Data Lead is responsible for developing, governing, and executing the strategy for master data management across SAP systems. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of master data to support business processes, reporting, and decision-making. The SAP Master Data Lead serves as the key liaison between functional teams, IT, and business stakeholders to drive data quality, standardization, and continuous improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Master Data Governance & Strategy
.Develop and enforce master data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
.Define and maintain SAP master data frameworks covering Material, Customer, Vendor, BOM, Routing, Finance objects, or other domain-specific data.
.Establish data quality KPIs and dashboards to monitor and improve data performance.
.Ensure alignment with global and regional data governance strategies.

Operational Master Data Management
.Lead the end-to-end lifecycle for SAP master data creation, updates, and deactivation.
.Oversee day-to-day master data operations and ensure timely, accurate processing.
.Identify and resolve data issues, discrepancies, and root causes across systems.
.Coordinate with functional teams during SAP projects, system changes, and rollouts.
Project Leadership & SAP Enhancements
.Act as the Master Data workstream lead for SAP implementations, migrations, and upgrades.
.Drive master data mapping, cleansing, harmonization, and cutover activities.
.Collaborate with IT on design, testing, and deployment of SAP enhancements and automation tools (e.g., MDG, Workflow, BAPIs, LSMW/BDC).
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
.Partner with business process owners (Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Manufacturing) to understand data requirements.
.Provide training, documentation, and guidance to master data teams and end users.
.Communicate data-related impacts, risks, and resolutions clearly to leadership.
Compliance & Audit Support
.Ensure master data processes comply with internal controls, SOX requirements, and regulatory standards.
.Support internal and external audits by providing data, documentation, and process transparency.
.Hands-on experience with SAP master data in modules such as MM, SD, PP, FI/CO, or relevant domain.
.Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and their data dependencies.
.Proven experience leading master data teams or workstreams.
.Expertise in SAP tools: MDG, S/4HANA, ECC, Data Services, LSMW, or equivalent.
.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
.Excellent communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
Preferred
.Experience in large, global organizations and multi-site SAP deployments.
.Familiarity with data migration methodologies and data quality tools.
.Project management or Agile delivery experience.
.Knowledge of governance frameworks such as DAMA, EDM, or ISO data standards.

Minimum Qualifications

.Graduation: B.Tech/B.E, MBA/MCA

.The candidate must be a self-starter, capable of multitasking and efficiently manage their time in a multifaceted environment with demanding deadlines while requiring minimal levels of supervision.
.Additionally, the candidate must possess excellent writing, speaking, analytical, project management, organizational, teamwork, and customer service skills that will assist them in identifying solutions to sophisticated security problems
.Ability to deliver high quality and reliable software by collaborating with team. Outstanding analytical skills, ability to apply expertise to drive sophisticated, technical and highly commercial solutions. Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
