Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - .NET
In this role, you will lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-scale solutions built on .NET and Microsoft Azure. You will define cloud-native architectures, ensure engineering excellence, enforce security and scalability standards, and mentor teams. You are expected to provide technical leadership across the full SDLC, including design reviews, code quality, testing strategy, and cloud optimization. Exposure to Generative AI and modern Azure AI services is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Angular, .NET (Core / .NET 6+), and SQL.s
Build and maintain scalable microservices following clean architecture.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries and store procedures.
Analyze existing application architectures and recommend improvements for performance, security, and maintainability.
Establish and enforce secure coding practices, zero-trust principles.
Review code, ensure high-quality engineering standards, and drive technical excellence across teams.
Define and oversee unit testing, integration testing, and test coverage strategies.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions.
Mentor and guide developers and technical leads on architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
Work closely with product, QA, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
Stay current with Microsoft .NET, Angular and Azure cloud services, and emerging technologies, including Generative AI.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
BE / BTech / MCA or equivalent degree.
Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core / .NET, and enterprise application architecture.
Solid experience in architecting and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problemsolving skills.
Proven ability to lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and design decisions.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
Experience develop & designing Microservices and RESTful APIs.
Expertise in SQL Server, Entity Framework / EF Core, and data modeling.
Good understanding of service-oriented and distributed architectures (including WCF legacy modernization).
Experience with DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (ARM / Bicep / Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps.
Strong experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit / NUnit), code coverage, and code quality tools.
Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, Azure AD / Entra ID.
Experience with application monitoring and observability (Application Insights, Azure Monitor, logging, tracing).
Exposure to Generative AI, Azure OpenAI, AI integration patterns, or Python is a plus.
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
