Principal Consultant

About the Role

The Principal Consultant serves as the strategic leader for digital transformation initiatives, providing direction across multiple client engagements while ensuring governance, delivery excellence, organizational capability development, and sustainable business growth.

This role partners closely with executive stakeholders to define transformation strategies, identify opportunities for innovation, and guide cross-functional teams in delivering scalable technology-enabled solutions. The Principal Consultant establishes delivery standards, mentors consulting teams, and ensures successful execution of enterprise transformation programs while balancing business priorities, customer expectations, and organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate is a techno-functional consulting leader with strong business acumen, extensive project delivery experience, and a deep understanding of AI, automation, analytics, and modern enterprise technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

·Partner with executive leadership to define digital transformation strategies aligned with business objectives.

·Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies.

·Develop enterprise transformation roadmaps and implementation strategies.

·Guide solution direction balancing business needs, technical feasibility, and scalability.

·Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

·Influence organizational priorities through strategic consulting.

Portfolio Governance

·Provide governance across multiple transformation programs.

·Establish governance frameworks for delivery, risks, financials, and resource utilization.

·Lead executive steering committees and governance reviews.

·Monitor portfolio risks and drive mitigation strategies.

·Drive continuous improvement across the consulting practice.

Delivery Excellence

·Provide strategic oversight across multiple client engagements.

·Ensure projects meet scope, timelines, budget, quality, and business outcomes.

·Guide teams through complex delivery challenges.

·Drive enterprise AI, automation, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.

·Promote reusable frameworks and delivery accelerators.

Executive Stakeholder Management

·Build trusted relationships with executive sponsors.

·Facilitate governance meetings and strategic discussions.

·Communicate transformation progress, risks, and business outcomes.

·Influence executive decisions through structured recommendations.

·Act as the primary escalation point for strategic issues.

Practice & Capability Development

·Define consulting standards and delivery methodologies.

·Mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants.

·Drive knowledge sharing and leadership development.

·Support hiring and capability assessments.

·Foster innovation and continuous improvement.

Business Growth & Innovation

·Support pre-sales, proposals, and solutioning.

·Identify opportunities to expand client engagements.

·Develop consulting offerings and AI accelerators.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

·8–12+ years in Technology Consulting, Digital Transformation, Business Analysis, Program Delivery, or Enterprise Consulting.

·Experience leading enterprise transformation initiatives.

·Strong understanding of AI implementation, business analysis, and software delivery.

·Experience governing complex programs with multiple stakeholders.

·Excellent executive communication and leadership skills.

·Experience mentoring consulting teams.
