We are looking for a Principal Engineer – CAD to architect, develop, and deploy frontend and backend CAD tools and flows for advanced Digital and Analog design environments. The role involves driving CAD methodologies, automation, tool deployment, and technical collaboration across global engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support RTL-to-GDS CAD flows for digital implementation.
• Drive automation using Tcl, Perl, and Python scripting.
• Collaborate with design teams for tool deployment, debugging, and methodology improvements.
• Evaluate and optimize EDA tools, flows, and infrastructure for improved efficiency.
• Support HPC-class designs and mature-node technologies (22nm/12nm).
• Work with job schedulers (LSF/Slurm), license servers, and distributed compute environments.
• Lead technical initiatives and collaborate across global teams and external vendors.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10-12 years of experience in EDA/CAD engineering.
• Strong expertise in Synopsys/Cadence RTL-to-GDS flow, synthesis, implementation, and STA.
• Hands-on experience in CAD flow development and automation.
• Strong scripting skills in Tcl, Perl, and Python.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in technical leadership and customer engagement.

Preferred

• Exposure to ISO26262 / ISO-SAE 21434 standards.
• Experience working with offshore teams and vendor management.
• Conversational Japanese proficiency is an added advantage.

Education

B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
