Purpose and Overview
The purpose of posting this job description is to find a highly qualified Sr. Node Js Developer who can contribute their expertise and passion to our growing company. As a Sr. Node Js Developer, the individual will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our Node.js applications, ensuring their scalability and performance. They will work closely with our team to design and implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the overall performance of our applications.
The Sr. Node Js Developer will be responsible for developing server-side logic, collaborating with front-end developers, and integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic. They will also be involved in designing and implementing data storage solutions, such as databases, and ensuring the security and integrity of our applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Node.js, JavaScript, and related frameworks, as well as experience with AWS, MongoDB, MySQL, Express.js, and Docker.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing high-performance, scalable, and secure Node.js applications
- Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Implementing data storage solutions, such as databases, and ensuring their security and integrity
- Optimizing the performance of Node.js applications and troubleshooting any issues that arise
- Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Working with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features and enhancements
- Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
- Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Mentoring and providing guidance to junior developers
- Collaborating with DevOps teams to deploy and maintain applications in production environments
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience as a Node.js developer
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript
- Experience with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, and Lambda
- Experience with databases, such as MongoDB and MySQL
- Knowledge of Express.js and other Node.js frameworks
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker
- Understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks
- Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git
- Experience with testing frameworks, such as Mocha or Jest
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
