Principal Architect

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced .NET Architect to lead the technical architecture, design, and implementation of scalable and maintainable enterprise applications. The candidate should have strong hands-on experiece with modern .NET technologies and be capable of making architectural decisions with minimal guidance.

The role involves working closely with Business Analysts, Product teams, Development teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the overall application architecture and technical direction.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
• Design applications using .NET 8.0+, C#, ASP.NET Core Web API, and EF Core.
• Establish architecture and design standards, coding practices, and development guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
• Review solution designs, technical approaches, and code to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
• Identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Design and evaluate solutions involving CQRS, messaging, caching, integration patterns, and distributed systems where appropriate.
• Make appropriate architectural choices between modular monolith, microservices, and other architectural approaches based on business and technical requirements.
• Ensure applications are designed for scalability, reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD, containerization, cloud deployment, and application configuration.
• Work with database technologies such as SQL Server and MongoDB, including data modelling and performance considerations.
• Participate in architecture discussions with Business Analysts and Product teams and provide technical feasibility and effort inputs.
• Mentor senior developers and help teams adopt best practices and modern engineering practices.
• Stay current with evolving technologies and recommend improvements where they provide tangible business value.

Required Skills:

• 15+ years of experience in software development, technical leadership, and application architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET 8.0+.
• Excellent knowledge of ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Strong experience with Entity Framework Core.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and Clean Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, database design, and performance optimization.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and enterprise application integrations.
• Strong understanding of CQRS, MediatR, Outbox Pattern, messaging, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with RabbitMQ or similar messaging platforms.
• Strong understanding of Docker and containerized applications.
• Experience with Azure services and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and API security.
