Principal Applied Data Scientist (OCI) - Product Development

• We are seeking an experienced Principal Applied Data Scientist to join our OCI Gen-AI Solutions team for strategic customers.
• The core focus is on creating innovative, distributed, and scalable Generative AI (Gen-AI) solutions using cutting-edge Machine Learning (ML) technologies, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs).
• This role involves leading the design, development, and deployment of tailored Gen-AI solutions with emphasis on Agents, Model Predictive Control (MPC), and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) integrated with large OpenSearch clusters.
• You will work directly with strategic customers to guide their Gen-AI journey, translating requirements into high-impact solutions across sectors like financial services, healthcare, and code generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of tailored Gen-AI solutions focusing on LLMs, Agents, MPC, and RAG.
• Configure and manage large-scale OpenSearch clusters and set up robust data ingestion pipelines.
• Optimize model structure and performance for production-ready scalability and efficiency.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in AI model training and serving.
• Partner with strategic customers to understand requirements, envision solutions, and remove technical blockers for their ML engineering teams.
• Build re-usable solution patterns and reference showcases applicable across multiple customers.
• Act as a product evangelist, engaging with customers, partners, and presenting at external events/conferences.
• Mentor and develop junior machine learning engineers.
