We are looking for an experienced Principal AI Architect & Platform Engineering Lead who can help us build enterprise-grade AI applications from concept to production.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will work directly with the founder, product team, domain experts, and engineers to build scalable AI-native platforms used by mortgage lenders, servicers, title companies, and financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Platform Leadership
- Design and own the architecture of AI-native SaaS applications.
- Define scalable platform patterns, engineering standards, and technical roadmaps.
- Build reusable services and frameworks across multiple products.
- Drive cloud-native architecture decisions and deployment strategies.
AI Engineering
- Design and implement production-grade LLM applications.
- Build retrieval systems, agentic workflows, prompt orchestration, and tool integrations.
- Establish evaluation frameworks for AI quality, accuracy, and reliability.
- Implement human-in-the-loop workflows and AI governance frameworks.
Platform Engineering
- Own security, scalability, observability, monitoring, testing, and deployment practices.
- Build production-ready systems across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
- Define CI/CD and release management processes.
- Ensure high availability and reliability across applications.
Technical Leadership
- Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices.
- Conduct architecture reviews and code reviews.
- Collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders.
- Translate evolving business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- 2+ years as a Senior Architect, Principal Engineer, or equivalent technical leadership role.
- Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized workloads.
- Strong experience building enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Experience designing and deploying AI solutions in production environments.
- Strong understanding of LLM architectures, RAG systems, agentic workflows, vector databases, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and AI observability.
- Strong knowledge of system design, APIs, security, authentication, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Experience with document intelligence, workflow automation, and decision support systems.
- Startup or early-stage company experience.
