Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Tamil Teacher to teach students from Grades I to V, following the Cambridge Curriculum. The ideal candidate should be passionate about language and literature, and skilled at making grammar, writing, reading, and speaking engaging and accessible to young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate Tamil lessons as per Cambridge guidelines using relevant textbooks and recommended resources.
- Teach reading comprehension, creative writing, grammar, vocabulary, and spoken Tamil through interactive and student-centered methods.
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments, activities, and projects that enhance language skills and critical thinking.
- Encourage participation in literary activities such as debates, elocution, storytelling, recitation, and school publications.
- Provide constructive feedback on written and verbal assignments; assess student performance regularly.
- Maintain an organized and inclusive classroom environment that encourages language exploration.
- Use audio-visual aids, digital tools, and creative teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and academic goals.
- Maintain academic records and communicate with parents regarding student progress and development.
- Participate actively in school events, faculty meetings, professional development programs, and training sessions.
