Primary English Teacher – Cambridge Curriculum (Grades 3 to 5)

Location: Bhayandar / Mumbai

School: Kanakia International School

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and engaging Primary English Teacher to deliver the Cambridge Primary English curriculum for Grades 3 to 5. The role involves building strong language foundations through reading, writing, speaking, and listening, while fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a love for literature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary framework.
  • Develop students skills in reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and oral communication.
  • Use differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Encourage creativity through storytelling, creative writing, and class discussions.
  • Design lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments in line with Cambridge standards.
  • Conduct regular formative and summative assessments.
  • Track student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Promote independent thinking and collaborative learning.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods where appropriate.
  • Work closely with coordinators and fellow teachers for curriculum planning.
  • Participate in school activities, events, and professional development programs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and development.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in English or related field (B.Ed. preferred).
  • 2–5 years of teaching experience in Primary Grades (3–5).
  • Prior experience with Cambridge Curriculum is highly preferred.
