Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary English/Global Perspectives Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire young learners to explore local, national, and global issues through inquiry-based learning while developing critical thinking, communication, collaboration, research, and reflection skills. This role involves lesson planning, classroom facilitation, student assessment, and fostering curiosity and global citizenship in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English/Global Perspectives lessons for primary-grade students in alignment with the school's curriculum and international standards.
- Design inquiry-based learning experiences that encourage students to explore real-world issues from multiple perspectives.
- Develop engaging learning materials,research activities, discussions, and collaborative projects that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Foster critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills through interactive and experiential learning.
- Integrate technology and a variety of teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback through formative and summative assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and prepare progress reports.
- Encourage students to become responsible, reflective, and globally minded citizens.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support students academic and personal development.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development programmes, and school events.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, English, or a related field with a recognized teaching certification.
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level is preferred.
- Teaching experience at CambridgeEnglish/Primary Global Perspectives or other inquiry-based/international curricula (Cambridge, IB PYP, etc.) is desirable.
- Familiarity with Early Years or Primary Years teaching certification is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for inquiry-based learning, global citizenship education, and student-centered teaching.
