Role Description

The Pricing Executive – Sea Export will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and managing pricing strategies for sea freight shipments. The role ensures competitive and profitable pricing, maintains compliance with company policies, and supports the sales team with accurate quotations to maximize revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing & Quotation Management Prepare and issue accurate and timely sea freight quotations to customers.
  • Analyze cost components, including freight rates, surcharges, documentation fees, and other applicable charges.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and industry trends to maintain competitiveness.
  • Ensure pricing adheres to company policies, profitability guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer & Sales Support Collaborate with the sales team to provide pricing solutions for clients shipping requirements.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding rates, surcharges, and contract terms.
  • Assist in negotiating rates and contracts with customers and shipping lines.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting Maintain rate databases and pricing tools to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze shipment data to identify cost-saving opportunities and profitability trends.
  • Generate regular reports on pricing trends, margin performance, and market insights.
  • Documentation & Compliance Ensure quotations, invoices, and contracts are prepared accurately and comply with legal and company standards.
  • Support auditing and internal control processes by maintaining proper documentation.
  • Stakeholder Coordination Coordinate with carriers, shipping lines, and freight forwarders to obtain competitive rates.
  • Liaise with operations, finance, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of shipments and pricing accuracy.

  • Qualifications & Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
    • 2–5 years of experience in sea freight pricing, sales support, or freight forwarding.
    • Strong understanding of sea freight operations, INCOTERMS, and global shipping practices.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and freight management software.
    • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
