The Pricing Executive is responsible for preparing competitive freight quotations, coordinating with carriers and overseas agents, analyzing market rates, and supporting the sales and operations teams with accurate pricing for air, sea, and land freight services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue freight quotations for air, sea (FCL/LCL), and road transportation
- Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, and overseas agents to obtain best possible rates
- Negotiate rates with vendors to ensure cost-effective and competitive pricing
- Maintain and regularly update rate sheets and pricing databases
- Analyze market trends and competitor pricing
- Support sales team with spot rates, tenders, and customer-specific pricing
- Ensure quotations comply with company margins and policies
- Respond to pricing queries within defined TAT
- Assist in RFQs, contracts, and long-term rate agreements
- Maintain proper documentation and records of quotations
- Coordinate with operations team to ensure feasibility of quoted services
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding pricing (Air/Sea/Road)
- Good negotiation and analytical skills
- Excellent communication (email & verbal)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in MS Excel and email communication
- Understanding of Incoterms and basic logistics documentation
Experience Required
- +2 years of experience in pricing or operations within a freight forwarding company
