About the Role

We are looking for a highly knowledgeable and commercially driven professional for the role of Pricing Executive – Export (Sea and Air). The candidate should possess strong expertise in export freight pricing across Ocean (FCL/LCL) and Air freight, with the ability to independently handle quotations, procure competitive rates, coordinate with carriers, and support the sales and operations teams with accurate and profitable pricing solutions.

The role requires a strong understanding of Indian freight forwarding practices, carrier market dynamics, routing options, transit planning, and export operational requirements.

Preference will be given to candidates with additional import pricing and operational exposure.

Key Responsibilities

Freight Pricing & Procurement

• Prepare competitive freight quotations for Ocean Freight (FCL/LCL) and Air Freight export shipments
• Procure rates from shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, overseas agents, and transport vendors
• Analyse routing options, transit times, free days, and service reliability before offering quotations
• Ensure all quotations are commercially viable with proper margin management
• Maintain updated tariff sheets and market rate intelligence
• Coordinate with sales teams for spot rates, RFQs, tenders, and key account pricing support
• Negotiate rates and service terms with carriers and vendors to maximize profitability

Export Operations Coordination

• Coordinate with operations teams for smooth shipment execution post booking confirmation
• Understand operational cut-offs, VGM/SI timelines, documentation requirements, and cargo movement planning
• Support shipment planning aligned with carrier schedules and customer requirements
• Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, CHA, and overseas agents when required

Mandatory Criteria

Candidate must currently be working in a Freight Forwarding company

(Profiles from Shipping Lines, Airlines, NVOCCs, or Co-loaders will not be considered)

Candidate should currently be employed and actively working

(Candidates already serving notice period will not be considered)

Candidate should possess relevant experience in Indian Freight Forwarding operations and pricing (4.5-5 years of experience shall only be counted in the freight forwarding field)

Candidate must have strong English communication skills
