Role Summary

The Price Book Lead is responsible for driving leadership effectiveness, supporting ampm and Thorntons banners. Leading the India based price book team and training to ensure consistent execution of merchandising strategies across assigned locations. This role ensures accurate and timely execution of price book initiatives with a focus on the accuracy of items and promotions across all categories, including communication to internal teams and distributors. Serving as a key liaison between field operation teams, finance and vendors to drive category plan and brand compliance with measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage ERP systems (PDI, S2K, SAP Retail) and process for price book team
  • Oversee accuracy, compliance and timely execution of price changes and promotions
  • Facilitate effective communication between merchandising, category management and operations
  • Provide support cross-functionally with reporting, pricing, distributor opportunities, invoicing and technical issues
  • Handle promo bulletin preparation and communication
  • Support reset initiatives with process and timeline alignment
  • Maintain NACS item alignment management across systems
  • Analyze ticket system performance metrics to identify gaps and implement improvements
  • Provide clear direction, mentor, and support to teams across multiple locations
  • Support new markets, store openings, remodels, and transitions with vendor and item alignment
  • Identify and implement process improvements and guidelines
  • Collaborate with category to implement merchandise strategies and complete item life cycle
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external partners to achieve business objectives
  • Develop and maintain process manuals and training
  • Facilitate annual wholesaler cost changes
  • Develop process to follow timeline for prompt retail changes and communication for ops, tags
  • Partner with category and coordinators on food recipes, assemblies and keyboards
  • Identify process improvement and team training opportunities and collaborate with Coordinators to document and implement
  • Provide support cross-functionally on price book and ERP issues
  • Maintain superuser status with continued training
  • Communicate taxation changes for COCO sites
  • Partner with Price Book Manager for activity and participation coverage across multiple projects
  • Partner with Price Book Lead supporting TA banner
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in merchandising, retail price book, replenishment, or related operational roles
  • Familiarity with merchandising systems (e.g. PDI, S2K, SAP IS Retail, Blue Yonder / JDA)
  • Strong understanding of retail environments, planograms execution and performance-based metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Retail Management, Accounting or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Inventory Accounting, SAP, Accounts Payable or related field
  • Solid analytical and financial accounting skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer management skills
  • English proficiency: B2–C2
