We are currently seeking Sr. Pre-sales Consultant, who will support the Government Business team in evaluating, and responding to government tenders and RFPs. The role involves preparing technical proposals, ensuring compliance with tender requirements, coordinating with internal teams, and assisting in bid strategy development.
The candidate will work closely with sales, engineering, and Vendors teams to ensure accurate and timely bid submissions for government and public sector opportunities . Pre-sales roles in retail focus on supporting sales teams by demonstrating technical solutions like barcoding, RFID, and POS systems to prospective clients. A suitable candidate would be an engineering graduate with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in these technologies.

- Job Description
- Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical workshops to showcase how these technologies improve efficiency, reduce losses, and enhance customer experience in retail environments
- Ensuring solutions as per the Statement of Work with best practice in line with retail market requirements
- Analysing RFI's, RFP's and work with SW team for fit gap analysis. Respond to RFPs/RFIs, prepare technical proposals, and provide expertise on integrating solutions with existing retail infrastructure like ERP systems
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs in retail operations, such as inventory tracking and checkout processes, and design tailored solutions using barcoding, RFID, and POS systems.
- Gather customer requirements, assess feasibility, and recommend optimal hardware/software combinations for applications like stock management and point-of-sale automation
- Offer post-demo support, train sales staff and clients, and stay updated on retail tech trends to position solutions competitively
- Liaising with Product Managers to provide feedback from clients about product requirements and work on product road map.
- Qualification Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline (e.g., Electronics, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pre-sales or technical sales within the retail industry, with proven knowledge of barcoding (1D/2D), RFID tagging/readers, and retail POS hardware/software.
- Strong understanding of retail workflows, including supply chain traceability, inventory control, and customer-facing transactions
- Required Skills
- Technical proficiency in barcoding standards (e.g., UPC, QR), RFID protocols (e.g., UHF, NFC), and POS integration (e.g., with payment gateways and loyalty programs).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for client-facing demos and objection handling.
- Ability to travel to retail client sites for assessments and pilots.
