Key Responsibilities

1. Presales & Solutioning

  • Understand client requirements, RFQs, and tender documents across Firefighting, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and BMS systems
  • Design cost-effective and compliant technical solutions
  • Coordinate with OEMs for product selection and technical inputs
  • Prepare technical proposals, compliance statements, and presentations

2. Cost Estimation & BOQ Management

  • Prepare detailed BOQs with accurate costing (materials, labor, engineering, logistics, contingencies)
  • Conduct value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality
  • Develop standardized costing templates and databases
  • Ensure alignment with project margins and profitability targets

3. Tendering & Bid Management

  • Review tender specifications, drawings, and commercial terms
  • Identify risks and deviations; propose mitigation strategies
  • Lead bid submissions including technical and commercial documentation
  • Participate in bid clarification meetings and client discussions

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Sales, Projects, Procurement, and Finance teams
  • Support sales team in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations
  • Coordinate with project delivery teams for handover of awarded projects

5. Market & Vendor Management

  • Track market pricing trends, competitor strategies, and new technologies
  • Maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and subcontractors
  • Evaluate and onboard new vendors for cost optimization

Mandatory Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV, Access Control, and BMS & MEP
  • Expertise in estimation tools, Excel-based costing models, and tendering
  • Excellent techno-commercial acumen
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy in costing

Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechanical

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in system integration projects for commercial buildings, data centers, hospitals, airports, or IT parks for Fire Safety, Security & BMS and MEP services, also IT & Networking
  • Familiarity with global OEM platforms and large-scale fit-out projects
  • Experience working with PMCs like CBRE, JLL, etc.

  • Gross margin achievement
  • Quality of technical submissions
