Position Overview

Gonvarri Solar Steel is currently looking for a Presales Engineer to support its growth in the Indian market.

The selected candidate will manage projects from a technical perspective, covering both:

• Tendering (bidding phase)
• Execution phase (delivery and construction)

After an initial onboarding and training period, the role will be performed with the support of the company's headquarters in Spain.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural and foundation calculations for solar PV projects in India and neighboring regions
• Analyze client technical requirements and project specifications
• Design and calculate steel structures in accordance with applicable standards and project conditions
• Evaluate geotechnical data, including soil reports and pull-out test results
• Prepare technical documentation for tender submissions, project execution, and warranty phases
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle (bid, execution, and after-sales)
• Collaborate in the optimization and continuous improvement of Solar Steel products

Mandatory Requirements

• Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles
• Proven experience in the solar photovoltaic sector
• Strong knowledge of steel structures design and foundation engineering
• Familiarity with Indian structural codes and regulations
• Proficiency in structural analysis software
• Advanced English level (mandatory for daily coordination with international teams)

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in preparing structural drawings
• Knowledge of topography and earthworks for project layout assessment

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Structural analysis tools (e.g., SAP2000 or similar)
• Basic AutoCAD proficiency

Valued:

• Advanced AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
• Civil engineering tools (e.g., Civil 3D or similar)
• PV-specific software (e.g., PVCase)
