Presales/Design Engineer (Security Systems) - ACS, CCTV, FAPA, IDS- Pune-India

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Presales/Design Engineer (Security Systems) role based in the Pune Division. The Presales/Design Engineer will work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and propose tailored security solutions encompassing ACS (Access Control Systems), CCTV, FAPA (Fire Alarm & Public Address), and IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems). Daily responsibilities include conducting site surveys, preparing system designs and layouts, creating detailed technical proposals and bills of materials, and supporting solution demonstrations or presentations to customers. The role involves coordinating with internal engineering and project teams to ensure design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with technical and regulatory standards. The Presales/Design Engineer will also provide technical clarification during the bidding process, assist with RFP/RFQ responses, and support handover of finalized solutions to implementation teams.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of electronic security systems, including Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV/IP surveillance, Fire Alarm & Public Address (FAPA), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
• Experience in presales engineering, solution design, and preparation of technical proposals, drawings, and bills of materials for security or low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings; familiarity with design tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar) and basic networking concepts for IP-based systems.
• Solid understanding of industry standards, codes, and best practices related to electronic security and life safety systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a structured approach to system design and documentation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, engineering, and project teams and to manage multiple presales opportunities within tight timelines.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunications, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience
