About the Role
We are looking for an AI-first Pre-Sales Consultant who lives and breathes Master Data Management. You will be the technical face of MDM platform in front of prospects running demos, leading discovery workshops, scoping POCs, and converting technical evaluations into closed deals. This is not a generalist role: you will go deep on MDM, taxonomies, cataloguing, and AI-driven data quality.
You will own MDM engagements end-to-end. You should be able to walk into a room with a customer's data team, run a credible discovery, demo live against their data, defend our architecture against incumbents, and leave with the next step locked in.
Responsibilities
MDM Demos & Customer Engagements
- Run end-to-end demos for technical and business audiences from CIOs and CDOs to data stewards and category managers
- Tailor demos to the customer's industry (O&G, chemicals, pharma, mining, F&B) and ERP landscape (SAP S/4HANA, IBM Maximo, Oracle EBS, Infor EAM)
- Build and maintain demo environments, sample datasets, and reusable demo flows for common MDM scenarios material master cleansing, duplicate detection, taxonomy enrichment, attribute extraction, and golden record creation
- Handle live data demos- load a customer's sample records during a workshop and show real-time results
- Manage technical evaluations and POCs independently, define scope, success criteria, KPIs, run the engagement, and present outcomes
Discovery, Solutioning & Proposals
- Lead technical discovery sessions and understand the customer's data quality issues, ERP environment, governance maturity, and target outcomes
- Translate findings into a Harmonize solution architecture, implementation approach, and value case
- Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and security questionnaires with crisp, technically accurate answers
- Build customer-specific business cases quantifying impact on working capital, MRO inventory, downtime, and procurement spend
- Partner with channel partners on joint pursuits, including SAP S/4HANA migration opportunities where Harmonize is the AI data platform
AI-First Pre-Sales
- Articulate Verdantis's AI-native architecture, and how it differs from rules-based or template-driven competitors
- Demo the AI agents in action- duplicate detection, attribute extraction from unstructured descriptions, taxonomy classification, and continuous governance
- Position the value of LLMs and agentic workflows for MDM in customer language not as buzzwords, but as measurable outcomes
- Stay ahead on developments in AI for data management new models, RAG patterns, multi-agent frameworks and continuously sharpen demos and talk tracks
- Work with the product team to feedback competitive intelligence and customer requirements that shape the AI roadmap
Qualifications
- 5–8 years in pre-sales, solution consulting, MDM consulting, or data quality consulting with a clear MDM specialization
- Hands-on experience with at least one MDM platform
- Strong working knowledge of material master data, equipment master data, and cataloguing
- Solid grounding in at least one major ERP- SAP (ECC or S/4HANA), IBM Maximo, Oracle EBS, or Infor EAM and how master data flows through it
- Demonstrated ability to run customer-facing demos, workshops, and POCs independently
- AI fluency: Practical understanding of LLMs, embeddings, RAG, and agentic workflows, and how they apply to data quality and MDM
- Strong written communication: Able to draft RFP responses, solution documents, and customer-facing presentations
- Excellent verbal presence: Able to hold a room with a CIO, a CDO, or a sceptical data steward
- Willingness to travel to the US and Middle East for customer engagements
Preferred
- Domain experience in one or more asset-intensive verticals- oil & gas, chemicals, pharma, mining, F&B, or power generation
- Prior exposure to MRO master data, spare parts cataloguing, or storeroom optimization
- Exposure to data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, ISO 8000)
- Experience selling or delivering into US and Middle East markets
