Pre-Sales/Procurement Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Pre-Sales / Procurement Engineer to manage techno-commercial pre-sales activities along with the complete procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, vendor management, costing, tendering, and supply coordination. The candidate will work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Project teams to ensure accurate proposals and timely, cost-effective procurement of materials, components, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Support sales team in preparing technical proposals, BOQs, and cost estimates based on client requirements.

Analyze tender documents, specifications, and scope of work.

Coordinate with vendors for budgetary quotations during pre-sales stage.

Participate in RFQs, bid preparation, and techno-commercial submissions.

Handle end-to-end procurement activities for materials, equipment, and services..

Evaluate, negotiate, and select suppliers to achieve the best quality, cost, and delivery terms.

Prepare and issue purchase orders in compliance with company policies.

Conduct cost analysis, budgeting, and contribute to project costing.

Maintain vendor relationships, monitor supplier performance, and ensure timely deliveries.

Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications.

Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, materials, and industry trends.

Maintain accurate procurement records and support audits and reporting.

Drive cost-reduction initiatives and implement procurement best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial)

23 years of experience in pre-sales, procurement, or techno-commercial roles (preferably in automation, manufacturing, electrical, or industrial sectors)

Experience in costing, tendering, BOQ preparation, and procurement processes.

Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and vendors simultaneously.

Good understanding of technical specifications, vendor quality standards, and material standards.
