Pre-Sales Lead (Data Engineering-Data & AI)

Location : Chennai or Bangalore

We seek a handson PreSales Lead with deep expertise in Data Engineering and modern data platforms to anchor solutioning for client pursuits. This architectfirst, presalesenabled role focuses on shaping winning solutions, supporting RFPs, and driving technical conversations with clients.

Unlike traditional presales leadership, this position emphasizes technical depth, dealshaping capability, and client credibility rather than managing large teams. The ideal candidate blends data engineering architecture experience with practical presales exposure, working closely with Sales, Practice Leaders, and Delivery teams to craft differentiated solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 20–22 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Analytics within IT services/consulting.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering modern data platforms on cloud (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience in data engineering (ETL/ELT, streaming, lakehouse, data pipelines).
• Exposure to pre-sales activities such as RFP responses, solutioning, POCs, and client presentations.
• Strong understanding of:
• Data integration & transformation
• Data governance & quality
• Cloud data platforms
• AI/ML and GenAI concepts (preferred)

Preferred Attributes

• Experience supporting large deal pursuits ($1M+ TCV) in a solutioning or pre-sales capacity.
• Ability to engage with global clients (US/Europe) and work across time zones.
• Exposure to industries such as Retail, BFSI, Healthcare, or Telecom.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex architectures.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with high ownership.
