Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Pre-Sales Engineer to support the sales team in identifying customer requirements, designing suitable cybersecurity solutions, and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations. The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between customers, technical teams, and sales teams to ensure successful solution positioning and customer engagement.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, services, and solutions, along with strong technical and customer-facing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and business objectives.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions for clients.
- Design and propose appropriate technical solutions based on customer needs.
- Prepare technical proposals, solution architecture documents, bill of quantities (BOQ), and response documents for RFPs/RFQs.
- Provide solution recommendations across cybersecurity technologies and services.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams, vendors, and partners for solution design and implementation planning.
- Provide technical clarification and support during customer meetings and negotiations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging cybersecurity technologies.
- Support project handover activities to delivery and implementation teams.
- Assist in developing sales strategies and identifying new business opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical advisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in a Pre-Sales, Solution Engineering, or Technical Consulting role.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, services, and solutions such as:
- Firewalls & Network Security
- SIEM Solutions
- Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR/XDR)
- Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT)
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Cloud Security Solutions
- Email Security & Web Security
- SOC Services & Managed Security Services
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud, and cybersecurity architecture.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
- Experience in preparing technical documentation and proposals.
- Ability to understand customer pain points and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales and technical teams.
