Role Description: Pre-Sales Business Analyst
Unified Infotech is looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Business Analyst with a strong foundation in Business Analysis (BA) to take on a hybrid role that combines 75% BA responsibilities with 25% involvement in pre-sales proposal preparation.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients, technical teams, and internal stakeholders to define requirements, contribute to proposal creation, and support pre-sales activities while ensuring quality product delivery from the functional side. You will play a key role in capturing business requirements, assisting in preparing technical solutions, and supporting proposal development for prospective clients.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical analysis and client-facing pre-sales activities and wants to contribute to identifying new business opportunities while ensuring solutions meet diverse industry needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Sales Support
- Support end-to-end pre-sales activities, including coordination with internal teams to prepare proposal documents (RFI/RFP/RFQ).
- Participate in client discussions to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and contribute to solution design aligned with technical and business goals.
- Work closely with the sales team to help meet client expectations and deadlines while coordinating with internal technical teams for estimations.
- Assist in reviewing and refining proposal documentation to ensure alignment with client requirements and company capabilities.
- Contribute to the creation and validation of Proof of Concepts (POCs) where required.
- Support sales managers in project planning, status reporting, and tracking of proposals.
2. Business Analysis (BA)
- Independently gather and analyze business requirements, working with stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate needs into functional specifications.
- Define features, scope, and user flows, and document requirements clearly for technical teams.
- Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current capabilities and business needs.
- Ensure proposed solutions address business requirements, usability, performance, and feasibility.
- Maintain and update documentation such as Epic Mapping, user flows, and requirement documents.
- Conduct research on industries, business needs, and market trends to support proposal development.
- Create wireframes and supporting materials to effectively communicate user requirements.
3. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Act as a liaison between clients, business teams, and technology teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Participate in pre-sales meetings and workshops to gather inputs and refine requirements.
- Ensure high-quality documentation, including functional specifications and user stories.
- Support internal discussions to review proposals, validate requirements, and finalize solutions.
4. Estimation and Validation Support
- Assist in the estimation process for pre-sales opportunities by coordinating with technical teams on timelines, resources, and costs.
- Support proposal and estimation validation with relevant stakeholders.
- Help ensure that requirements captured during pre-sales are accurately carried forward into the development phase.
Desired Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Pre-Sales Business Analyst or Solution Consultant for web and mobile IT products.
- Hands-on experience in pre-sales activities, including proposal preparation and client interaction.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good written, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Exposure to multiple industries or willingness to research and adapt to new domains.
- Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
