Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement and Solutioning: Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges, data requirements, and goals.
- Design tailored data engineering solutions leveraging cloud platforms, data pipelines, and analytics tools.
- Pre-Sales Activities: Support the sales team by delivering technical presentations, demos, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
- Lead proposal creation, including crafting RFPs, RFIs, and solution documents.
- Develop detailed scope, effort estimations, and pricing for projects.
- Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor for clients, recommending best practices in data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, and governance.
- Provide technical input to help align solutions with client business objectives.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with data engineering and cloud architects to refine and validate solutions.
- Share feedback from pre-sales engagements with delivery and innovation teams to improve accelerators and reusable assets.
- Market Analysis and Trends: Stay updated on the latest trends in data engineering, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks), and competitive offerings.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in data engineering frameworks and tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, SQL).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, data lakes, and streaming solutions.
- Pre-Sales Skills: Proven experience in leading presales discussions and creating technical proposals for data engineering projects.
- Expertise in presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, storytelling, and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud technologies, or pre-sales roles.
- A track record of successful client engagements and technical solution delivery.
