About The Opportunity

A growing organization in the Early Childhood Education sector delivering nurturing, play-based pre-primary programs across India. We focus on holistic child development, early literacy, socio-emotional learning and school-readiness. We are hiring an on-site Pre-Primary teacher to join a classroom-focused team that prioritizes child-centred pedagogy and measurable learning outcomes.

Role: Preschool Teacher (Early Childhood Educator)

Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate, play-based lessons for pre-primary children that build foundational literacy, numeracy and social-emotional skills.
  • Create daily and weekly lesson plans aligned to early years learning objectives and adapt activities to individual developmental levels.
  • Manage classroom routines, transitions and learning environments to ensure safety, engagement and inclusive participation.
  • Observe and assess each child's developmental progress; maintain accurate records and share actionable feedback with parents and school leadership.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families and colleagues; participate in parent-teacher interactions and community-facing events.
  • Maintain classroom resources, implement behaviour guidance strategies and follow safeguarding and health protocols onsite.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), B.Ed., or equivalent recognised certification.
  • Proven experience teaching in pre-primary or preschool settings with demonstrable classroom outcomes.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in the local language used at the centre.
  • Knowledge of play-based learning methodologies and early years curriculum design.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR certification and willingness to complete background checks and mandatory trainings.
  • Strong record-keeping skills and ability to conduct child development assessments and produce progress reports.

Preferred

  • Certification or training in Montessori, Reggio Emilia or similar early-years pedagogies.
  • Experience teaching phonics, emergent literacy and early numeracy interventions.
  • Familiarity with digital classroom tools (interactive whiteboards, basic LMS or Google Classroom).
