We are seeking an exceptional Practice Director to lead and scale our Cloud Transformation consulting practice. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic growth, client value, team development, and operational excellence across our portfolio of cloud modernization and migration engagements. You will be accountable for shaping our delivery quality, fostering technical innovation, defining go-to-market strategy, and partnering closely with clients and cross-functional leaders to solve complex business challenges through cloud-native solutions, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership:
Own and evolve the vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for the Cloud Transformation consulting practice.
Build and scale a high-performing, cross-functional team of Cloud Architects, DevOps Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), and domain experts. Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and measurable impact.
Solution & Delivery Excellence:
Oversee end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-region cloud migration and transformation engagements across various industries.
Define and enforce best practices, reusable accelerators, and technical standards for cloud architecture and delivery.
Serve as an executive sponsor and advisor for high-profile clients and projects. Growth & Go-to-Market Enablement:
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Strategy teams to define offerings, build pipelines, and close deals.
Position the practice as a thought leader through white papers, events, and client workshops on cloud best practices.
Develop new service offerings aligned to market needs (e.g., Hybrid Cloud solutions, FinOps, Cloud Security, and containerization).
Operational & Financial Management:
Own practice-level P&L, forecasting, utilization, margin, and staffing plans. Build partnerships with technology providers and cloud platform vendors (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Drive continuous improvement in delivery velocity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Partnership Management
Relationship with Hyperscalers including practice work, joint offerings creation and Delivery enablement.
The priority areas would include:
Cloud Strategy & Governance: Defining how cloud infrastructure is architected, managed, secured, and optimized, including a robust FinOps (Financial Operations) strategy.
Cloud DevOps & Automation: Building, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure at scale through automation and CI/CD pipelines.
Cloud Architecture & Migration: Designing and implementing scalable cloud architectures and leading complex migration projects from on-premise to cloud environments.
Cloud-Native Development: Driving the adoption of cloud-native technologies like microservices, containers, and serverless computing.
This high-visibility role calls for a strategic visionary with deep expertise in the following areas, coupled with strong business acumen, and a track record of delivering value in complex environments.
Cloud Engineering & Architecture: Designing, building, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure, including experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
DevOps & Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Operationalizing cloud applications, including continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), monitoring, and automated scaling. Familiarity with tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
Cloud-Native & Modernization: Deep understanding of microservices architecture, serverless functions, and containerization. Experience with building resilient and scalable applications on the cloud.
Major Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with major public cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their core service offerings (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, Azure App Service, Google Compute Engine).
Cloud Security & Compliance: Establishing policies, processes, and tools for cloud security, compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS), and cost management.
Industry Knowledge:
Extensive understanding of cloud technologies and their applications across industries, including telecom, healthcare, and financial services.
Familiarity with the cloud ecosystem, including industry solutions, integration patterns, and best practices for cloud transformation.
Knowledge of industry trends in cloud computing, hybrid cloud, and edge computing.
Competencies
Experience:
18+ years of relevant experience in a leadership role within a top consulting firm or enterprise environment, focusing on cloud transformation and digital consulting. Proven expertise in designing, building, and leading large-scale cloud platforms and migration projects, including experience with multi-cloud and hybrid environments. In-depth knowledge and experience in the implementation of DevOps, CI/CD, and IT automation at an enterprise level.
Successful track record of delivering large-scale cloud projects in complex, global environments.
Experience leading a large practice, managing end-to-end implementation lifecycle, and overseeing P&L responsibilities.
Strong client engagement and relationship management skills, with experience advising C-level stakeholders on cloud strategies.
Experience in building Partnership with Hyperscalers and other Cloud Product companies.
