About the Role
We are looking for a motivated
Product Quality Engineer I to join our Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with product managers, developers, and QA leads to ensure the delivery of high-quality product features. You will be responsible for test planning, execution, automation support, and continuous quality improvements across agile development cycles.
This role is ideal for someone who has strong testing fundamentals, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements and translate them into detailed test plans and test cases
- Perform functional, regression, UI, API, and integration testing
- Work closely with development teams during sprint cycles to validate features and enhancements
- Identify, document, and track bugs to closure using standard defect-tracking systems
- Support test automation by creating and executing automated scripts (preferred)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure release readiness and product stability
- Participate in Scrum/Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvements
- Maintain test documentation and provide quality reports to stakeholders
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 24 years of experience in software testing / quality engineering
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies
- Hands-on experience in manual testing
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger)
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation
- Experience in logging and tracking defects using tools like Jira
- Good understanding of UI testing and basic debugging skills
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in automation tools (Selenium, TestNG, Playwright, Cypress or similar)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS / GCP / Azure
- Experience working in SaaS / Product-based environments
