METAL PPC EXECUTIVE / ENGINEER

Department: Research & Development → Metal Planning

Position: Metal PPC Executive / Engineer · 4–7 years of experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC) within a metal fabrication, sheet metal, steel furniture, modular furniture, or manufacturing environment.

Location: Gurugram

Working Days: 6

Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may also be considered.

Job Purpose:

To manage end-to-end production planning and control activities for the Metal Division, ensuring timely availability of materials, efficient utilisation of manpower and machines, smooth production flow, and on-time dispatch of finished products as per project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

•Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on project requirements, sales orders, and dispatch schedules.

•Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Production, Quality, and Dispatch teams for smooth execution.

•Prepare machine-wise and process-wise production schedules (cutting, bending, welding, grinding, powder coating, assembly, etc.).

•Monitor production progress against planned targets and highlight deviations.

2. Material Planning & Coordination

•Prepare material requirement plans based on BOM, production drawings, and project requirements.

•Coordinate with Purchase and Stores teams for timely availability of raw materials, hardware, and consumables.

•Monitor critical materials and ensure no production loss due to material shortage.

•Maintain inventory control and avoid excess/slow-moving stock.

3. Production Tracking & MIS Reporting

•Maintain daily production reports and update management regarding progress.

•Track planned vs actual production output.

•Prepare delay analysis reports and corrective action plans.

•Share daily status reports covering:

a) Production completion %

b) Pending quantity

c) Material availability

d) Machine/manpower status

e) Dispatch readiness

4. Coordination with Production Team

•Coordinate with supervisors and shop-floor teams for achieving daily targets.

•Ensure proper allocation of jobs to machines and manpower.

•Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for improving productivity.

•Follow up on pending jobs and ensure timely completion.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

Experience

•4–7 years of experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC) within a metal fabrication, sheet metal, steel furniture, modular furniture, or manufacturing environment.

•Experience handling production planning from order release to final dispatch.

•Strong exposure to fabrication processes such as laser cutting, CNC punching, bending, welding, grinding, powder coating, and assembly.

Educational Qualification

•B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

•Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may also be considered if backed by strong relevant experience.

Technical Skills

•Strong understanding of PPC methodologies and production scheduling.

•Ability to read engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

•Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, ERPNext, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).

•Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKU
