Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Vertical: Oversee all operations within the vertical to ensure effective planning, execution, control, and dispatch in line with organizational goals.
  • Machine-Level Tracking: Prepare and maintain detailed trackers for each machine to monitor progress against the production plan.
  • Timely Escalations & Contingency Planning: Identify potential delays or deviations early, escalate proactively, and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and bridge plan-versus-actual gaps.
  • Material Availability & Movement: Ensure stage-wise material availability by coordinating with procurement; drive systematic material flow from receipt stores to main stores to minimize cycle time.
  • Shortage Management: Prepare and circulate material shortage reports and ensure timely closure within defined timelines.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with AE, A&C, Manufacturing, Stores, QC, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Dispatch Plan Adherence: Monitor adherence to the monthly dispatch plan and proactively resolve issues impacting schedule adherence.
  • Engineering Change Control: Implement design changes promptly as per ECNs to maintain inventory accuracy and prevent material discrepancies.
  • Material Requisition & Issuance Planning: Provide MR (Material Requisition) lists to Stores and plan issuance (daily, weekly, monthly) for sub-assembly, assembly, and FAT activities.
  • Inventory Control & Ownership: Monitor, control, and take ownership of inventory at the vertical location as per production and dispatch requirements.
  • System Proficiency: Utilize SAP PP & MM modules for planning and control from initiation to dispatch of machines and accessories.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrate expertise in MS Excel, SAP, and other allied tools for reporting, data analysis, and presentation.
