Job Description / Roles & Responsibilities:

.Candidate will be part of Powertrain teams as a full time D&R Engineer.

.Lead the design and release of

- Fuel systems: tanks, lines, evaporative systems, urea systems.

- Conduct system-level packaging studies, feasibility analysis, and concept development.

.Ensure compliance with GD&T, DFM/DFA/DFS principles, and internal/external design standards.

.Perform bolted joint analysis, tolerance stack-up studies, and material selection.

.Liaise with various stakeholders and provide end to end delivery solutions.

.Sound knowledge of Plastic and Sheet metal design guidelines and manufacturing processes is required.

.Should have an ability to conduct benchmarking studies and propose innovative solutions.

.Good understanding of PCDS and major gateways.

.Own engineering release processes ensuring specifications, cost, weight, and quality targets are met.

.Coordinate with CAE teams to implement simulation outputs into design.

.Maintain and update BOMs, RFQs, ESOWs, and build concern reports (BCRs).

.Support virtual, prototype, and production builds (VP, TT, PP, etc.).

.Develop and execute DVP/PVP plans for part and vehicle-level validation

.Lead supplier onboarding and technical reviews with purchasing and supplier panels.

.Conduct APQP/PPAP reviews and ensure readiness for builds.

WHAT YOU NEED

. Automotive domain knowledge with working experience of minimum one of the PT Sub Domain.

. Commodity Ownership

. Participate in sourcing process for timely onboarding of suppliers

. Coordinate with stakeholders - Engineering, Finance, Purchase & supplier for BOM management

. Timely S/T/P releases by ensuring right information of data is produced like CAD, Cost, QAF etc.

. Understanding of commodity release & change management

. Understanding of Proto & Production BOM

. Excellent CATIA V5 and CATIA V6 2D/3D skills.

. Exposure to PLM tools such as TeamCenter, 3Dx.

. GD&T knowledge is a must.

.Proficiency in using MS tools such as SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
