Job Title: Powertrain Design EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Powertrain Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or automobile engineering, with experience in creating new drawings, vehicle packaging, engineering change management, and stack-up analysis. This role involves working with driveline components and ensuring their optimal integration into vehicle designs.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain master cross sections and layouts for driveline components such as half shafts, drive shafts, axles, and mounts.
- Conduct packaging, clearance/interference, and design rule checks for powertrain/driveline components.
- Update 3D models and drawings in response to engineering change requests.
- Check drawing prints in accordance with drafting standards.
- Perform stack-up analysis (linear, axial/radial, and fastener) for powertrain systems and subsystems.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in powertrain design and analysis.
- Experience with DPA and engine components.
- Ability to perform stack-up analysis.
- Proficient in CATIA software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
- 2 to 6 years of experience in engine components.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and involves collaboration with a team of engineers. The position requires attention to detail and adherence to engineering standards. The role involves using advanced design software and tools to ensure the highest quality of work.
