PowerBI Consultant

Power BI consultant with expert Power BI skills will be responsible for driving defined Power BI dashboards, data visualization reports, and data models. As the Power BI expert, this role will collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, develop powerful data visualization/dashboards, and support Power BI dashboard training as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Designs and implements processes and solutions associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis, modeling, and predicting to enable informed business decisions.
• Works with stakeholders to identify trends, aggregate data and build visually appealing reports in Power BI
• Collaborates across departments and with stakeholders to define requirements and develop business solutions
• Builds ETL routines to move, cleanse and prepare data for reporting within Power BI, SQL or other tools
• Develops information tools, algorithms, dashboards, and queries to monitor and improve business performance
• Creates solutions from initial concept to fully tested production; and demonstrates results to a broad range of stakeholders
• Extracts and compiles various sources of information and large data sets from various systems to identify and analyze outliers
• Sets up process for monitoring, tracking, and trending data
• Experience working on Power Automate flow related to Power BI.
• Experience working on Power BI Premium Capacity

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional work experience
• Minimum 3+ years of data visualization and business analysis experience
• Hands-on experience building visually appealing Power BI dashboards
• Hands-on experience with business intelligence and data visualization reporting systems
• Experience with Power BI tools suite Power BI desktop, Power services, Power BI report Builder, Power BI Gateways, Power BI Embedded, and Power BI mobile
• Experience with the implementation of various Power BI architectures
• Demonstrated best practices to develop visualizations on Power BI Desktop or Power BI service to ensure optimal performance, security, and governance
• Expert level familiarity with Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Power BI Pro, and Premium capacity
• Demonstrated ability to construct custom calculations through DAX
• Proven experience in R and/or Python programming languages
• Strong understanding and ability to transform and integrate existing data sets. Experience with Data flows
• Demonstrated knowledge of mathematical and statistical applications
• Good to have exposure to Azure Resources (ADF, Databricks, etc.,)
