Minimum 5-10 years of onsite experience on major projects in sectors such as Infrastructure, Real Estate, Power, Steel, or Chemical.
Involvement in at least 2 significant major projects of similar size and scope as delivered by TCE.
Qualification:
Postgraduate or graduate in an engineering discipline.
Postgraduate degree/diploma in construction management (preferable).
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Oversight:
Monitor overall job site health, safety, and environmental performance, ensuring contractors are protecting their workers on the job site.
Construction Supervision and Contract Administration:
Responsible for supervising construction activities and contract administration, including overseeing contractors and their subcontractors for assigned portions of the project.
Coordination of Design Deliverables:
Assist in the coordination of design deliverables to support continuous and efficient construction processes.
Contractor Point of Contact:
Serve as the point of contact for all contractors in the assigned area of the project, ensuring smooth communication and progress.
Safety Meeting Leadership:
Plan and chair project safety meetings, assist with incident investigations and reporting, and actively participate in TCE's safety programs and initiatives.
Deficiency and Non-conformance Management:
Communicate the identification, management, and resolution of deficiencies and non-conformance issues to the Construction Manager.
Cost Control and Reporting:
Assist with construction estimating, scheduling, reporting, cost control, measurement verification, and invoice certification for work performed by contractors in the assigned area.
Bill Certification and Scope Management:
Lead the Bill Certification process, manage the measurement of quantities, resolve extra scope issues, and enforce Change Management and Request for Information (RFI) management processes.
Acting Construction Manager:
In the absence of the Construction Manager, act as the administrative spokesperson for the project.
Construction Proposal Development:
Assist in the development and review of construction-related information for proposals and other business improvement activities.
Constructability Input:
Provide construction input for project constructability plans, ensuring that construction processes are feasible and efficient.
Progress Reporting:
Provide inputs for daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, track contractor's asking rates for major construction activities, and develop catch-up plans suited to site conditions.
Site Issue Resolution:
Assist the Construction Manager in addressing site issues and developing or implementing appropriate remedies.
Construction and Commissioning Coordination:
Assist in coordinating between construction and commissioning phases, and help establish an effective handover policy.
Implementation of Safety and Quality Plans:
Ensure the strict implementation of the project's safety and quality plans on-site.
Planning and Billing Inputs:
Provide valuable inputs for planning and billing activities to ensure the efficient execution of the project.
