This role plays a key part in delivering advanced electrical engineering analysis for complex power infrastructure projects across industrial, utility, and renewable sectors. You will contribute to the design and optimization of substations and transmission systems that support reliable and sustainable energy delivery. The position involves performing high-impact power system studies using industry-leading simulation tools, directly influencing project design decisions and grid performance. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams in a fast-paced EPC environment, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with global standards. This is a highly technical role where analytical expertise meets practical engineering execution. You will also support renewable integration projects and next-generation energy systems. Accountabilities
Perform advanced electrical power system studies and substation design support activities that ensure safe, efficient, and standards-compliant infrastructure delivery.
- Conduct load flow, short circuit, harmonic, stability, arc flash, grounding, and protection coordination studies
- Support substation design including equipment sizing, busbar configuration, insulation coordination, and grounding system design
- Utilize simulation tools such as ETAP, ASPEN, PSCAD, and PSS/E to model and analyze system behavior
- Ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, and applicable utility/grid codes
- Collaborate with civil, protection, SCADA, and project teams for integrated engineering execution
- Support tendering, project execution, and grid integration studies for renewable and industrial applications
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and engineering presentations
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in power system studies, electrical design, or related EPC environments
- Strong expertise in power system simulation tools (ETAP, ASPEN, PSCAD, PSS/E)
- Solid understanding of substation design (GIS/AIS), protection systems, and SCADA integration
- Knowledge of grounding, insulation coordination, and grid compliance standards
- Experience with renewable energy systems, including BESS and grid integration is an advantage
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple technical projects and work in cross-functional teams
