To identify, evaluate, and onboard potential Commercial & Industrial (C&I) consumers for solar energy procurement through Open Access / Group Captive mechanisms, supporting business growth and PPA execution.
1. Consumer Identification Engagement
- Identify potential power consumers suitable for solar PPA under group captive/open access.
- Conduct primary & secondary market research to build consumer pipelines.
- Evaluate load profiles, sanctioned demand, power bills, and feasibility for switching to solar.
2. PPA Structuring & Coordination
- Support in PPA structuring: group captive shareholding, tariff proposals, energy settlement.
- Coordinate with legal, regulatory, and finance teams for due diligence.
- Assist in onboarding consumers and managing LOIs/term sheets.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client decision-makers.
- Understand and convey the techno-commercial value proposition.
4. Regulatory & Policy Compliance
- Keep updated with state-specific open access policies, wheeling charges, banking norms.
- Ensure compliance with group captive shareholding rules.
5. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain CRM data, lead status, and prepare weekly/monthly progress reports.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and commercial analysis sheets.
Requirements
Experience: 5 years in renewable energy, open access solar, or C&I sales
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of group captive/open access business models
- Understanding of SLDC/DISCOM procedures and state-wise OA regulations
- Experience in C&I client acquisition and PPA negotiation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Analytical mindset with ability to assess tariffs, losses, and savings
- Stakeholder management and coordination ability
Preferred Background:
- Worked with IPPs, solar developers, consultants, or open access facilitators.
- Exposure to projects in states like Karnataka.
