We operate the world's largest aluminium plant at Jharsuguda, Odisha, with aluminium smelting capacity of 1.85 MTPA and an associated 3615 MW thermal power generation facility. It is the only Indian smelter in the global 1 Million Tonne production and export club, and a leader in value-added aluminium products that find critical applications across a diverse array of industries.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Captive Power Plants (CPPs) are the backbone of continuous operations across our aluminium businesses, ensuring uninterrupted energy supply to our smelters and refinery at Jharsuguda, BALCO, and Lanjigarh. Operating in a 24x7 dynamic demand-supply environment, these assets play a pivotal role in sustaining large-scale operations seamlessly.

As we continue to build on our strong operational foundation, there is an increased focus on further enhancing reliability, process safety, efficiency, and sustainability through deeper technical specialization.

To accelerate this journey, we are onboarding experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from large-scale thermal power plants who will:

✅ Drive advanced diagnostics and performance optimization across CPP operations

✅ Enable faster and more effective resolution of critical technical challenges

✅ Provide strategic guidance on asset reliability, lifecycle management, and cost efficiency

✅ Bring in global benchmarking and best practices to elevate operational standards

✅ Strengthen internal capabilities through structured mentoring and knowledge transfer to O&M teams

Desired Attributes:

• 20+ years of deep, hands-on experience in relevant industries such as Metals, Energy, Manufacturing, EPCs, OEMs, or Global Conglomerates
• Strong execution focus, driving results through prioritization, planning, resource alignment, and cross‑functional collaboration, supported by solid business acumen
• Recognized subject matter expert with strong execution capability, problem-solving acumen, and exposure to best-in-class practices
• Strategic thinker, capable of defining and communicating a long‑term vision aligned to business objectives
• Targeted Area of Expertise- Power O&M, Boiler, Turbine, Electrical, Water Chemistry, AHP, Rotatory (Mills and fans), MTP, C&I
