Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled PowerBuilder + C# + SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in application development, maintenance, and support using PowerBuilder, with additional proficiency in C# and SQL for modern development and database management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using PowerBuilder, C#, and SQL.
- Enhance and modernize legacy PowerBuilder applications by integrating with C# modules where required.
- Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions for application logic and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and database-related issues.
- Ensure code quality, security, and adherence to best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience in PowerBuilder development.
- Proficiency in C# (.NET Framework/.NET Core).
- Solid expertise in SQL programming, performance tuning, and database design (SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL).
- Experience with application support, debugging, and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Good to Have:
- Experience in migrating applications from PowerBuilder to modern platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud databases and deployment (AWS/Azure).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
