We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with hands-on experience in building reports and dashboards using both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of data modeling, DAX, and integration of data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision).
Key Responsibilities:
. Develop, publish, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
. Connect, transform, and model data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Navision, and other enterprise data sources.
. Design and implement effective data models using Power Query (M) and DAX.
. Optimize Power BI data sets and reports for performance and usability.
. Schedule data refreshes and manage workspaces in Power BI Service.
. Collaborate with business users, analysts, and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver data-driven insights.
. Ensure security and governance best practices are followed for data access and sharing via Power BI Service.
. Create and maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, data sources, and models.
Required Skills and Experience:
. 5+ years of experience in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service (Online).
. Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling techniques.
. Experience integrating data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and/or Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision).
. Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
. Experience with SQL and connecting to various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, OData feeds, Excel, APIs).
. Familiarity with Power BI Gateway setup and troubleshooting.
. Experience in implementing row-level security (RLS) and Power BI workspace management.
. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
. Experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Data Factory).
. Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Data Entities, OData endpoints, or Common Data Service (CDS/Dataverse).
. Power Platform experience (Power Apps, Power Automate) is a plus.
. Microsoft certification in Power BI or Data Analytics (e.g., PL-300) is a plus.
