Role Overview
The Senior Associate Reporting & Data Analytics is responsible for designing and developing advanced reporting solutions and supporting data engineering workflows that enable scalable analytics capabilities. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into robust data models, pipelines, and dashboards.
The Senior Associate also plays a mentoring role for Associates and supports solution optimization, troubleshooting, and governance adherence across analytics deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Reporting & Data Modeling
- Design and develop complex Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Develop scalable data models using best practices such as star schema design.
- Build advanced DAX measures for complex analytical calculations.
- Optimize Power BI performance through efficient modeling and query optimization.
- Ensure reports align with enterprise reporting design standards.
- Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
- Develop and maintain data pipelines supporting reporting and analytics solutions.
- Perform data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration activities using platforms such as Databricks or similar data platforms.
- Monitor pipeline execution and troubleshoot data processing issues.
- Optimize pipeline performance and reliability.
- Requirements Analysis & Solution Development
- Work with stakeholders and business analysts to understand reporting requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical designs and data models.
- Support solution architecture discussions for reporting and analytics initiatives.
- Quality Assurance & Governance
- Ensure all reporting solutions meet quality, performance, and governance standards.
- Conduct peer reviews of Power BI reports, DAX logic, and transformations.
- Ensure documentation, testing, and deployment standards are followed.
- Team Support & Knowledge Sharing
- Provide guidance and mentoring to Associates on reporting development practices.
- Support troubleshooting of complex reporting or data issues.
- Identify opportunities for automation and performance optimization.
Technical Skills
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in Power BI (Data Modeling, DAX, Power Query)
- Experience working with data pipelines or ETL frameworks
- Knowledge of Databricks or modern data platforms
- Proficiency in SQL and data transformation techniques
- Understanding of data architecture and performance optimization
Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in reporting, analytics, or data engineering roles.
