Primary Responsibilities Power BI Developer (with DAX Expertise)

Dashboard & Report Development:

• Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics.
• Transform raw data into actionable insights through visually compelling reports.

Data Modeling:

• Build efficient data models with relationships, hierarchies, and calculated columns/measures.
• Optimize model performance for scalability and reusability.

DAX Formula Creation & Optimization:

• Write complex DAX expressions for calculated measures, KPIs, time intelligence, and dynamic reporting.
• Troubleshoot and optimize DAX formulas for performance and accuracy.

Data Integration & ETL:

• Connect to multiple data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, Azure, etc.) using Power Query (M language).
• Clean, transform, and prepare data for reporting and analytics.

Performance Tuning:

• Monitor and optimize report performance through query optimization, data model compression, and efficient DAX usage.

Collaboration & Business Analysis:

• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Security & Governance:

• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and follow organizational data governance standards.
• Manage and publish reports to Power BI Service or Workspace with appropriate access controls.

Automation & Maintenance:

• Schedule data refreshes and monitor dashboards for data accuracy.
• Maintain and enhance existing reports as business requirements evolve.

Documentation & Best Practices:

• Maintain clear documentation for data models, DAX calculations, and Power BI assets.
• Promote best practices in Power BI development, DAX usage, and data visualization.
