We are seeking an experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in Power BI development, Big Query scripting, and SQL, with a strong emphasis on data visualization. A PL-300 certification is mandatory. Experience with Python is a plus. This role involves transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and building advanced dashboards to support critical business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards with a focus on impactful visualizations.
- Design and execute complex queries using SQL and Big Query to process and transform data.
- Create robust data models and implement efficient data transformations using Power Query and DAX.
- Leverage Python for data preprocessing, automation, or advanced analytics tasks (preferred).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored data solutions.
- Perform detailed analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Optimize reports for performance and ensure scalability of analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Document technical specifications and solution designs.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Big Query scripting.
- Expertise in data visualization and creating user-friendly, impactful dashboards.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
- Certification in PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical solutions effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Python for data analytics or automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS) and their data services.
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
- Experience integrating Power Automate and Power Apps.
