Key Responsibilities:
BI & Reporting:
- Analyze existing reporting tools (e.g., Cognos) and translate business logic into optimized Power BI solutions
- Design and implement scalable data models in Power BI (Star schema preferred)
- Develop complex DAX measures and performance-optimized reports
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and governance best practices
Data Engineering & ETL:
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Databricks (Lakehouse architecture)
- Write and optimize queries using Spark SQL
- Develop data transformation workflows using PySpark
- Ensure data accuracy, validation, and reconciliation between Cognos and Power BI outputs
- Perform performance tuning and report optimization
Collaboration & Governance:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements
- Support deployment, testing, and production rollout
- Maintain adherence to data governance and security standards
